Conference Trust Project

Conference Trust Project

Over the past year and the forthcoming year we have used our funding from The Football Conference Trust to deliver a project in schools, based around improving physical activity and social skills.

The funding is being used to subsidise the cost of delivery which will enable every school the

opportunity to access high quality professional coaching, at an affordable price.

As part of the project every school will be able to access Sammy the Seagulls free golden ticket scheme, for a match at Weston-super-Mare AFC. This new initiative will allow each child in your school a free ticket to come and watch Weston in a Vanarama

National League South fixture at the Woodspring Stadium.

Not only will you get to watch the match but during half time your school will select 10-14 students to come on to the pitch and take penalties against Sammy the Seagull in a timed challenge. Will your school be victorious by scoring the most penalties…

The opportunity to link with our local football club and Community Trust is extremely exciting for pupils and staff at our school. The children are able to engage with positive role models and develop essential skills. The message that this project and sport can deliver reinforce the ethos of the school.
